Purging Disorder

Involves recurrent purging behaviors in the absence of objectively large binge eating episodes.

  • Self-induced vomiting without large binge episodes
  • Misuse of laxatives, diuretics, or other purging methods
  • Strong discomfort after eating normal amounts
  • Preoccupation with weight or body shape
